Flag raised at Space Needle for slain officer

""
Submitted by Rose Egge on Thursday, November 5th, 11:19am

At 10 a.m. this morning the Seattle Police Honor Guard raised a 20 foot by 30 foot flag on top of the Space Needle to honor fallen Officer Timothy Brenton.

The flag will be flown on top of the Space Needle through Friday evening, and has been donated by the Space Needle Corporation. Eventually, it will be given to the Brenton family.

The flag has a large Seattle Police Badge with a black band through the middle.  To the right of the badge is the Seattle Police emblem.  Centered under the badge and emblem is Officer Benton’s serial number #6699.  The background is solid white.

On behalf of my family and myself, we extend our deepest and most sincere thoughts and condolences to the family of Officer Timothy Brenton. May God above give each a blanket of comfort in this very distressful time.
